Kotobuki was born in 1964. Early in 1980, Kotobuki joined new art campain in Sapporo. And then, he moved to Tokyo. During Kotobuki's life in Tokyo, he joined Morio Agata 's tour as the guitarist and also keyboardplayer. After that, Morio Agata and Kotobuki organized the unit "Yukiyama brothers" and also he played piano in Sigeru Izumiya's street concert.

1987, Kotobuki became a member of P-MODEL as the keyboard player. They played many concerts and released a video. However one yaer later, the band took 4 years recess.

1989, Kotobuki organized an experimental band "VARICHEF HOMIUM" while playing in Susumu Hirasawa 's tour. Kotobuki had continued to play in the tour as the keyboard player and also computer music system's until 1993. Kotobuki also perticipated in solo tour of Jun Togawa.1991, P-MODEL was reorganized. During this time Kotobuki had woked with a variety of artists other than members of P-MODEL. song writing, composition, arrangement. It was made to play in kotobuki's computer system.1993, Kotobuki withdrew from P-MODEL, because wanted to travel through asia.1994, Lion Mary, Taniguchi and Kotobuki jokingly formed a new band " Phnonpenh MODEL ". When the first album's recording was over, he moved away Tokyo.1997, Somehow Phnonpenh MODEL started their second album's recording. 1998, Phnonpenh MODEL does European tour / Germany, France.1999, Private studio"BEEP HEADS" flotation.2000, Phnonpenh MODEL does 2nd European tour / Germany, France, Italy, England.2000, "sonic construction-BEepz" flotation.2001, appeared on Yokohama Triennale(tsuyoshi ozawa tonchiki house).2001, invited to "BATOFAR SEEKING TOKYO"(Invitation of the japonese electronic scene) in Paris / France.
